Stefanie L. Huffer

Senior Associate Attorney

 

Stefanie Huffer received her B.S. in Biology from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA in 2004 where she was a member of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society. Following graduation, Stefanie worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia for two years prior to moving to the Lowcountry to attend graduate school at the College of Charleston. She received her M.S. in Environmental Science with a focus on Environmental Law and Policy in 2008 after completing her thesis “Reusing Brownfield Sites: Examination of How Environmental Laws Affect Growth and Redevelopment”. Stefanie then attended the Charleston School of Law and graduated in 2012. During her time as a law student, Stefanie was an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston teaching Environmental Law to undergraduates.

Stefanie focuses on civil litigation, business law, and estate planning.  Stefanie's litigation practice assists plaintiffs and defendants in litigation, resolving contract disputes through mediation, and IRS negotiations.  Since becoming an attorney Stefanie has taken pride is assisting businesses and their owners navigate forming new business, buying existing businesses, selling of a business, and/or the merging of business entities. 

Estate Planning services provided by Stefanie includes assisting individuals and families take control of their end-of-life decisions and the distribution of their assets with or without the assistance of the Probate Court.   Stefanie serves as the supervising attorney for the Virginia Darden Meeks Legal Clinic at the Roper St. Francis Cancer Center to further her passion of helping oncology patients and their families decide who will care for the patient when they are at their most vulnerable.
